Universal Login Script enhanced!
Inno-Tech recently enhanced our login script. New in release 2.4.0 is Config Caching. This significantly improves performance over slow WAN links. We also added a technology we call Path Rewriting. This allows the path to a network resource to be dynamically changed based on the ID of the user logging in, or the Active Directory Site they are logging in from. The change to the path is done using lookup records in the login configuration file. Releases 2.4.1-2.4.3 extend this technology to subnet-specific lookups, and new features to selectively unmap drives, unmap printers, define a default printer, and dynamic processing of message and command resource records. A custizable welcome message, and the ability to detect and specially process laptop systems are also recent enhancements. The latest - 2.4.4 - adds a workaround to the non-working @LOGONMODE macro. See the Admin ToolChest web page for more details.

Inno-Tech web site gets a blog!
A new blog component has been added to our web site. This provides us with a mechanism to present technical information in a series of short articles. This will result in a much faster availability of information and resources. It will also permit viewers to add comments, ideas, and other suggestions to the information base. As appropriate, blog articles may be consolidated and moved to our resources section as How-to or Best Practice articles.

Task Scheduler Admin Tool updated!
Inno-Tech released version 2.5 of its Task Scheduler Administrator tool. This free tool permits management of Windows scheduled tasks across an enterprise environment. Significant new features include embedding of the JT interface library, addition of a Run! function, and the added ability to schedule a task event on multiple servers with a single definition. See the Admin ToolChest web page for more details.

KGen now incorporates Sanity!
Inno-Tech released an updated version of our KGen "UDF Resolver" that now includes our Sanity functionality. KGen performs recursive resolution of external UDFs for KiXtart scripts, and generates a script file with all required UDF content. This provides portability of scripts across environments where the UDF library my not be present. See the Admin ToolChest web page for more details.
